14th June 2019

This week we have continued to retell the story of LIttle Red Riding Hood and have started to create our own alternative endings to the story.

In maths, we have started to look at halving. Where we have been halving concrete objects. Such as, play-dough fruit, vegetables and pizzas.

In our outdoor area, we have introduced a Teepee which all the children are SO excited about. This an area where the children can relax and read outside.

As part of transition for Year 1, as of next week we are going to start lining up on the playground before school in 2 lines. One of the teachers will greet the children on the playground and sensibly bring them into class.

Have a brilliant weekend.

This week we have been looking at Little Red Riding Hood. We have produced lots of fantastic writing by retelling the story independently.

In maths, we have been subtracting jumping back on our number lines.

We had a great time in P.E in the hall practising jumping and throwing, ready for sports day!

Thanks for your continued support.

31st May 2019

This week we have been looking further into mini beasts. We have been learning and writing about the life cycle of a butterfly.

We have also been working hard in Maths, using a number line to help us subtract numbers.

Next half term we will continue to learn about 'All Creatures Great and Small' as well as starting to look at halving in Maths.

Have a wonderful, well deserved break.

The Picasso Team.
