Why are humans not like tigers?

(Animals, including humans)

We learned about animal groups which included mammals, birds, amphibians, insects and fish. We then wrote clues about our animals so that people could guess what animal we were describing!

What do aliens think of life on Earth? (Materials)

Zog the alien sent us a letter asking about life on Earth and if we could tell him about it!

We then read the story 'Aliens Love Underpants!' We all enjoyed creating out own underpants!!!

We have been having lots of fun learning about materials in Science!
We have been on a 'Material hunt' around school looking for items made from wood, plastic, metal, glass and rock.

We then thought about the properties of the materials and how we could describe materials eg: smooth, bumpy or transparent!

Light and Dark

 

This term in science, we have been looking at light and dark. We went on a light source hunt around school and found lots of different sources of light.

We have also been exploring shadows and how shadows are formed. We created some shadows using torches and the projectors in the classroom and the hall.
