I have worked for 15 years in the financial services industry and am currently a Marketing Manager for a local investment firm. I have experience in marketing, strategy planning, policy and procedure design, and change management. I am trained in Lean Six Sigma which is a powerful, team-based methodology to improve performance by systematically removing waste and increasing quality and efficiency, resulting in enhanced customer experience, lower costs and happier staff.
I have a gorgeous (yes I’m bias!) son in the reception class. Prior to his arrival I have a long history of volunteering for both local and national charities as a fundraising volunteer and I have raised over £65,000 for charities. I was previously the chairman of the Bolton & District fundraising branch for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
My passions cover all areas of the performing arts. I have 2 degrees in music, play multiple instruments and sing with a local community choir. I enjoy being creative and arty, and that flows through my current marketing role.
I am a qualified Life Coach and have an interest in mental health and wellbeing. I love getting outdoors in the sunshine and enjoying mindfulness walks in nature.
Whatever the environment my goal is the same - I utilise my skills and knowledge to empower other people to be the best versions of themselves, so that they can live happy and fulfilling lives.
I hope as a Parent Governor I could bring my previous experience from my employment and volunteer roles to help support the school to maximise on opportunities, achieve value for money and empower our children for the future.
