Summer 23 Art Competition - A Child's Rights

Summer Design Competition

We have been learning about The Convention on the Rights of the Child and we are running a competition to design poster on this theme. The book ‘A Child’s Right to Rights’ inspires the competition. In the book, different artists have illustrated each article.

We would like you to choose an article that you would like to bring attention to and create a poster illustrating it. Please state on your poster which article you are representing.

Here are some examples of the articles you can choose to illustrate:

  • 12. Respect for children's views: Children have the right to give their opinions freely on issues that affect them. Adults should listen and take children seriously.
  • 31. Rest, play, culture, arts: Every child has the right to rest, relax, play and to take part in cultural and creative activities

There will be a winner from each key stage. The winning posters will be framed and displayed around school and will celebrate the winners on our weekly newsletter

All designs can be given to your class teacher when we start back to school in September. The closing date is 11th September 2023. The winner will be chosen by a Governor and the Year 6 PSHE and Art Ambassadors.

Good luck!
