Instructions
We have started a new unit in English we are now looking at different instructions. We know instructions help us to do things. Sometimes instructions can be written or can be spoken. We have been busy identifying features of instructions.
TRADITIONAL TALES
We have been reading a range of traditional tales. We have been writing character descriptions and have been sequencing the story of 'The Three Little Pigs'.
WORLD ONESIE DAY
On Friday 4th March we all came dressed in a onesie to celebrate word book day with a twist. We had different teachers that came to read us their favourite story. In the afternoon some children from Year 5 came down to read to us.
NON- FICTION UNIT
Year 2 have started a unit of work on non-fiction. We have been reading lots of non-fiction books to help us with our topics in Science and as part of the challenge curriculum.
Year Two have been reading narrative stories from other cultures. We have chosen to link this with our Africa topic so we have been reading tales from Africa.
Our focused text is 'The Leopard's Drum'. We have written some fantastic book reviews and they have been put on display in our class.
