BPS School Council
Welcome to our School Council
The School Council is a great opportunity for pupils to contribute to how school operates. It consists of representatives from Year 1 to Year 6 who are elected by their year group peers.
Supported by Mrs Mead, their role is to act as the official voice for all children at Blackrod Primary.
What is the School Council?
An inclusive, structured, forum for discussion and decision-making.
A means for children to raise issues and concerns.
A means to consult all pupils.

As part of Antibullying week, our School Councillors organise an Odd Sock Day to celebrate how we are different and special.
Blue Planet Aquarium Trip 2021-22
As part of our Councillors role to improve our school we spent the day at Blue Planet Aquarium, Cheshire, to learn more about how plastic waste is damaging to our animals and oceans and to see how we can reduce plastic waste in School.
