Easter Bonnets
We all decorated wonderful Easter bonnets at home and brought them to the Easter service for the parade. Congratulations to Jessica and Tanaya who won the a prize for their designs. Great work!
Sport Relief
The whole school joined together to raise money for Sport Relief. We came to school in our sports clothes and participated in a fitness assembly and an assault course led by Miss Parr. The class learned about how the charity raises money to help vulnerable people in the UK and the worlds poorest countries.
Goldilocks
We discussed whether or not Goldilocks should say sorry and we came up with better choices Goldilocks could make. We loved the porridge messy play and trying the porridge taste test. After tasting the porridge we voted on who's porridge we liked the most.
Street Dance
We had an amazing morning at the street dance trial. We experimented we lots of different movements and learned a new routine.
Stick man, oh stick man!
After reading the Stick Man we collected sticks from around the school and made our own characters.
World Book Day
We celebrated World Book Day by wearing our pyjamas. Mr Drydurgh started the day with a story in the hall, then Mrs Thagia came to share a story in our classroom. After lunch we shared the poetry we had learned about in class with the rest of the school and then finished the day by reading stories with children from the other classes. We had a great day!
Physical Development
In PE this half term we are working on our gross motor skills in particular our upper body and core body strength. This is helping us as we are developing into wonderful writers.
Airvault
We have been looking at the effect exercise has on the body. We took a trip to the trampoline park were we learned different jumps and games. We had an amazing time.
