'Where would you prefer to live England or Africa?'
Geography based unit
As part of our learning challenge question in the Autumn term we were trying to answer the question:
'Where would you prefer to live England or Africa?'
We did lots of research about life in Africa. We used an atlas to locate where Africa is. We also calculated how long it would take to get to Kenya if we flew from Manchester airport.
We also wanted to find out what the temperature was like in Africa and we compared it to the temperature in Blackrod. We also used the Internet to research about the homes in Africa. Some people live in villages and some people live in big cities like Nirobi. One of our favourite lessons was find out about the wild animals that live in Africa.
Mrs Chadwick gave us a talk about Africa because she went to live there! We really enjoyed this topic and found it hard to choose where we would prefer to live. We recorded our answers in our floor book.
