BASIC SKILLS (Monday)
On a Monday we are practising athletic skills such as aiming at three different targets. We have also been doing two footed jumps and running long and short distances.
BADMINTON (Wednesday) - With Miss Parr
On a Wednesday we have been learning how to play badminton. We can name the correct equipment needed to play the sport. For example a racket and a shuttlecock.
BASIC SKILLS (MONDAY)
We have been using the ladders to practise different ways of moving. We have also been using our throwing skills to aim and hit a target.
DANCE - Miss Parr supporting (WEDNESDAY)
We have been working with Miss Parr to create a dance linked to the Olympics.
BASIC SKILLS/FITNESS SKILLS (MONDAY)
We have been learning the importance of exercise on a regular basis. We need exercise to keep us healthy. During our fitness sessions we get very hot, sweaty and out of breath.
DANCE (WEDNESDAY) with Miss Parr supporting
We have been creating our own dance for the Winter Production of Bugsy Malone. Our dance is to the song 'Bad Guys'.
BASIC SKILLS/TEAM GAMES (MONDAY)
We have been learning to throw and catch with a partner. We have been learning to do a:
*Chest Pass
* Bounce Pass
*Over head Pass
We will be using these passes when we come to play team games like 'Benchball'
GYMNASTICS (WEDNESDAY) with Miss Parr supporting
We will be performing a variety of gymnastic movements such as:
*Pike
*Straddle
*Tucked dish
* Rolls
*Different point balances
